A disgruntled motorist made a sinister “submachine gun” threat to staff at a Perth garage after being refused a courtesy car. The 62-year-old told workers at the Elder and Paton repair shop he would burn down the offices of his insurance company. In a third call to the company, Sinclair said he was getting his lawyers involved. The fiscal depute said: “He began screaming and shouting about how his insurance company wasn’t providing him with a courtesy car. She said: “He was asking where the insurance company was based and said he was going to burn it to the ground.”
