The body that oversees higher education funding is searching for a new chief executive to manage the ongoing crisis at Dundee University as the current boss quits. Francesca Osowska is leaving the top post at the Scottish Funding Council after a series of close family bereavements. Ms Osowska will exit in mid-September and an interim chief executive will temporarily step in. The new chief executive will have to oversee challenges at universities across the country as well. ‘Significant period of transformation’Professor Cara Aitchison, the funding council’s chair, said the next chief executive will take over during a time of huge change.
