Cody Ells will be taking his talents to Westwood to play for UCLA, the program announced Wednesday. Ells, who had previously committed to play for Lewis-Clark State, first heard from UCLA following the MLB draft in July when 11 Bruins were selected. Ells said that he is grateful for LC State and the opportunity the school gave him. Just the time was right, and I couldn’t say no to the chance to come down here (to UCLA).” At UCLA, Ells said he will be MLB draft-eligible following his sophomore year, and anticipates spending 2-3 years in school.
