MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — Moncks Corner’s new ordinance regulating electric bicycles and electric scooters is now in effect, creating uniform safety standards for riders using the town’s roads, sidewalks and multi-use trails. The Moncks Corner Police Department announced that Ordinance 2026-09 establishes regulations governing the operation of e-bikes and e-scooters throughout town. Among the most significant provisions, operators must obey all traffic laws, traffic signs and traffic control devices, just as other vehicles on the road. Riders using those trails must yield to pedestrians.
