Free presentations will teach residents how to recognize AI voice scams, identity theft, financial fraud and other schemes targeting older adults.
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. — As scammers continue to develop increasingly sophisticated tactics, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is taking its fraud prevention message directly to the community.
The Sheriff’s Office has announced a free Senior Fraud Prevention Tour that will make stops at five locations across Berkeley County and the Charleston area over the next two months.

“Our goal is to empower our community with the knowledge they need to stay one step ahead of scammers,” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis said.
