Valve has released official 3D CAD files for the Steam Machine’s exterior, making it easier for owners to design and print custom faceplates, accessories, and other modifications for the desktop gaming PC. The newly released CAD files include the Steam Machine’s exterior shell, giving modders accurate measurements for creating custom faceplates, replacement panels, stands, mounts, and other 3D-printed accessories. Earlier this year, the company published CAD files for the Steam Controller, while an official design for the Steam Machine’s e-ink display was also made available earlier this month. Valve also said it expects everyone currently in the Steam Machine reservation queue to have the opportunity to purchase a unit before the end of the year.
