Foreign minister, IGAD envoy discuss regional cooperation and December elections

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Dr. James Pitia Morgan, has discussed regional cooperation and developments with the IGAD Special Envoy to South Sudan, Ambassador Moussa Djama Ali.
The two officials also discussed ongoing cooperation between South Sudan and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) on issues of mutual interest.
Both Minister Morgan and Ambassador Moussa emphasized the importance of maintaining strong cooperation and dialogue between the Government of South Sudan and IGAD.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the partnership is vital in supporting peace, stability, and development in South Sudan and the wider region.
IGAD has been a key regional partner in supporting South Sudan’s peace process and political transition since the signing of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.
