Presidency urges South Sudanese to remember fallen heroes on Martyrs’ Day

The Office of the President has called on South Sudanese to remember the courage, sacrifice and unwavering dedication of the country’s fallen heroes and heroines as the nation marks Martyrs’ Day.
In a commemorative message released on Wednesday, the Presidency described July 30 as a day to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice during South Sudan’s struggle for freedom and independence.
“We remember with deep gratitude the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our fallen heroes,” the statement reads.
Martyrs’ Day is observed every year on 30th July in honor of South Sudan’s fallen heroes and heroines, including those who died during the liberation struggle.
