Just 78 percent of Republicans approve of the job Trump is doing, according to a CNN poll conducted by research firm SSRS from Thursday to Monday. In a CNN/SSRS poll conducted in February 2025, 88 percent of Republicans approved of the way Trump was handling his job. Fifty-seven percent of Republicans approve of Trump’s handling of inflation while 43 percent disapprove. The Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil waterway in the Middle East, has remained choked off during the Iran war, leading to higher fuel costs.
