A graduate of Reagan County High School in Big Lake, and later UT-Permian Basin, being an educator is not the career path Loftin anticipated after leaving high school . “Teaching was not my first thought,” Loftin said. Also during that time I was working at a YMCA daycare and found that I really enjoyed working with kids. Reflecting on a moment during her educational journey where an instructor made a lasting impact, Loftin referred to her time at UTPB. Looking into the future, what excites Loftin most about the teaching profession is, “the sky’s the limit, especially with all the new technology coming out almost daily.
