That rate will generate a revenue increase of 2.37 percent if council members give final approval to the tax rate and budget next month, City Administrator Tony Aaron told council members. “The budget that I have prepared is based off of the 66 cent rate,” Aaron said. Council member Charles Matlock said, “the tax rate presentation looks conservative. While discussing the proposed tax rate, Aaron and council members spoke briefly possible future projects.
