POLICE Scotland say that detectives have issued a call for information following an armed robbery near Dean Street in Whitburn. Around 3.15am on Monday, 27 July, 2026, a 50-year-old man was walking on a footpath between Bog Road and Dean Street when he was approached by a man and threatened with a knife. Detective Constable Graeme Rogers said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim, and it is vital we trace the man responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0412 of 27 July, 2026.
