A MAJOR Scottish music festival will reach audiences beyond the Highlands this summer after television coverage was confirmed. BBC ALBA will broadcast more than 20 hours of coverage from Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, with three two-hour programmes airing from Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August and additional performances available on BBC iPlayer. Scottish singer Callum Beattie will headline a music festival for the first time as part of BBC ALBA’s Belladrum Festival coverage. Margaret Cameron, head of content at BBC ALBA, said the broadcaster wanted to bring the festival experience to audiences across Scotland. Socialites secured their place on the Belladrum main stage after winning the BBC ALBA x Belladrum Talent Search.
