Hour to the Tower will take place on Corstorphine Hill, with participants given 60 minutes to complete as many laps as possible between the foot of the hill and the historic Corstorphine Tower. The endurance event has been organised by West Edinburgh Running Club and will combine steep climbs, fast descents and city views, with runners of all abilities invited to take part. Alan Jeffrey, chair and co-founder of West Edinburgh Running Club, said the event was designed to offer something different for Edinburgh’s running community. Founded in January 2024, West Edinburgh Running Club has grown to more than 100 members and hosts weekly training sessions from Saughton Park. The event is being supported by Friends of Corstorphine Hill, with participants and spectators able to climb the tower after the race and enjoy views across Edinburgh.
