The overflowing Isukavagu stream in Wajedu mandal of Mulugu district has caused water to spread on to the National Highway 163. In Telangana, out of the 621 mandals, 587 mandals received rains on Tuesday and 30 mandals recorded heavy to very heavy rains (10-20 cm). The Hyderabad Metrological Centre has forecast heavy to very heavy rains across the state on Thursday and Friday as a low-pressure area has developed over the Bay of Bengal. Balaji, a private weather forecaster, said that very heavy rains (20-40 cm) are expected to occur in the various districts. A 'Orange Alert' has been issued for nine districts as well.
