Firm has latest planning application approved for holiday-let in city centre

Zagan Holdings was hoping to transform a rear space unit at 33 to 35 Long Wyre Street into a holiday let.
The plans submitted in December 2024 were for a single-story unit with an entry hall, bedroom, shower room, and open plan kitchen, living and dining room area.
However, Colchester Council received another application to convert the existing first floor and loft space into a holiday-let, at the end of March, has been approved.
The notice of planning decision outlined the conditions, it said: “The development hereby permitted shall be begun before the expiration of three years from the date of this permission.
“The development shall be used solely for the purposes of holiday accommodation.
