A Detroit-based attorney is looking to represent more than 1,000 homeowners in a class action lawsuit against the Hyperscale Data Center in Dowagiac. Laura Sheets says her lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court is essentially a property claim case. Her clients are dealing with an operational 30-megawatt data center owned by Hyperscale Data that’s preparing to expand. “We don’t even know what we don’t know,” Sheets said. The lawsuit says residents near the Dowagiac center have been unable to enjoy the use of their property because of noise constantly generated by the facility.
