Hart District Council has issued the reminder as people enjoy the summer holidays, urging everyone to dispose of waste responsibly whether visiting country parks, exploring the countryside or spending time in nearby towns and villages. Cllr Tina Collins, portfolio holder for community safety, said: "Summer is a wonderful time to get out and enjoy everything Hart has to offer. "We're asking everyone to do their bit by putting their litter in a bin or taking it home with them. Littering is an offence and enforcement officers patrol across the district. In the past year, the council issued 80 Fixed Penalty Notices for littering and took six cases to court for non-payment, resulting in total fines of £4,702.
