High Wycombe Fire Station said even a small fire can spread quickly due to the dry conditions, posing a serious risk to people, wildlife, homes and the environment.
The station warned that wildfires can grow rapidly and unpredictably, causing damage to local habitats and placing significant pressure on emergency services.
A spokesperson for High Wycombe Fire Station said: “We’ve received reports of people deliberately setting fires in woodland areas.
The fire station has also warned against leaving glass bottles behind, as they can intensify sunlight and potentially ignite dry grass.
Anyone who spots a fire is urged to call 999 immediately, while suspicious activity should be reported to the police.
