The Professor of Communication and Media at Daystar University (DU) observed that communication and media have been identified among the factors that contributed to the atrocities. She expressed hope that the Congress would move beyond academic discussion to practical reflection rooted in Gospel values. Beyond the academic sessions, Sr. Lando said she looks forward to engaging with Catholic communicators from across the world. “I look forward to interacting with other Catholic media and communication professionals and connecting, sharing experiences, and discussing the future of media from the Gospel standpoint,” she said. According to the organizers, the six-day Congress will bring together Catholic communicators, media professionals, scholars, and pastoral agents from more than 100 countries.
