Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and the BMW Group have announced a major multi-year agreement securing compute silicon for BMW’s next-generation digital cockpit, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and automated driving (AD) technologies. Under the terms of the deal, BMW will incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ solutions, including high-performance Snapdragon® Elite automotive system-on-chips (SoCs) and dedicated artificial intelligence accelerators, across its future vehicle lineups. Expanding the Snapdragon Digital ChassisQualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis serves as an integrated automotive compute architecture designed to manage core vehicle domains—from infotainment and spatial computing to autonomous driving functions. The platform provides automated driving functions while focusing on human-machine interaction, maintaining driver engagement alongside automated driver-assistance features. With the new decade-long agreement, BMW plans to leverage Qualcomm’s evolving silicon stack to expand these automated driving and cockpit capabilities across additional vehicle classes and markets.
