They’re raising the roof at Middleton-in-Teesdale Sports & Social Club. After raising £44,000 to replace the old tiles, the scaffolding is up and work is underway. “We’re extremely grateful to the amazing local tradesmen and businesses who are offering their services to us to help with the roof,” said Ali Collinson. It took two years for the club to raise the funds for the work, which is intended as the start of a bigger refurbishment. “Our aim is to repoint it, clean the front up and make it more fresh and welcoming,” added Ali.
