On Aug. 8, Chapman’s is bringing its Chill Zone pop-up to Pleasant Day Festival, giving visitors a chance to cool down with some seriously good ice cream. A full day of funThe Chill Zone is just one part of Pleasant Day, a celebration of the community, culture, and businesses that make Mount Pleasant such a vibrant neighbourhood year-round. At the 2024 International Ice Cream Consortium Conference, it took home three international awards: Best Caramel Ice Cream for Salty Caramel Crunch, Silver in the Best Ice Cream category for Cherry Cheesecake, and Bronze in the Most Innovative Ice Cream category for Cold Brew Coffee. Pleasant Day Festival happens 8 Aug., from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Main St. between 16th Ave. and King Edward Ave. Admission is free, and the Chapman’s Chill Zone will be there with plenty of free samples to keep your day nice and cool.
