France has ordered the deportation of journalist Xenia Fedorova, who has been accused of spreading Russian propaganda. Fedorova was the former head of RT France, the French arm of the Russian state-funded media organisation RT, formerly Russia Today. As president of the channel, Fedorova announced the closure of RT France in January 2023, after the European Union (EU) imposed sanctions on Russia following its invasion of Ukraine.
