NLNG Train 7 to Raise Production Capacity by 35%

Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) said on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, that its Train 7 project will raise production capacity by approximately 35%, from 22 million tonnes per annum to 30 million tonnes.
Okay News reports that the expansion is also expected to increase liquefied petroleum gas production by about 50%, adding an estimated 250,000 tonnes annually to Nigeria’s domestic market.
He said the company remained focused on the safe delivery of Train 7, improved domestic gas availability and support for Nigeria’s industrialisation plans.
Falade acknowledged that the availability of feedgas remained a priority for Nigeria’s gas industry.
The session included discussions on the global liquefied natural gas market, domestic gas use, the energy transition, sustainability, Train 7, Nigerian Content and the future of Nigeria’s gas industry.
