NITDA Director-General and Chief Executive Officer Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi was represented at the meeting by the agency’s Director of Digital Development Services, Oluwunmi Oladejo. Inuwa said partnerships with community-based organisations were central to the agency’s goal of extending access to the digital economy. He said NITDA continued to monitor its intervention centres across Nigeria and use emerging technologies to support digital learning and virtual training. The agency’s National Digital Literacy Framework is intended to help children, students, artisans, farmers and professionals develop skills for an economy that increasingly depends on technology. She also presented a former student who progressed from the community school to a Nigerian university after using the centre’s digital resources.
