Meimo, an independent Moroccan restaurant at 69-70 Peascod Street is seeking permission from the council to relocate because of leases coming to an end for its current location.
The business would remain within Windsor town centre and move to 77 Peascod Street, which was most recently occupied by Ryad Momo, a furniture and homeware store.
“The proposal represents an ideal, sensitive adaptation of a ground floor town centre unit,” it added.
“A dedicated section of the front restaurant space will feature an artisanal display selling specialist Moroccan dry goods and gift items,” the plans said.
The front layout integrates dining furniture and retail shelving ‘seamlessly’ to ensure people walking by see an ‘aesthetically pleasing’ commercial space.
