News Investigators/ The Federal Ministry of Finance has disowned a fake message demanding N50,000 from newly recruited staff before resumption of duty.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, by Efe Ovuakporie, Head, Information and Public Relations in the ministry.
The ministry described the message as fraudulent and the handiwork of scammers targeting unsuspecting applicants with false recruitment claims.
The ministry urged prospective employees and the public to ignore the fraudulent message and avoid making payments.
The ministry also urged Nigerians to verify recruitment information through official government channels before taking any action.
