People in Badger Farm have criticised the council for its “woeful” failure to care for more than 50 young trees planted during the past two years . They report that the council’s contractor has strimmed too close to several trees, damaging tree guards and, in some cases, the young trees themselves. Planting trees creates a good headline, but it is meaningless—and a waste of public money—if there is no proper plan to look after them.” Residents support the council’s efforts to replace trees lost through disease and decline.
