Raw Story
Scandal-plagued Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's Senate campaign is struggling to attract major Republican funding.
According to The New York Times, top GOP spending committees are locked in a standoff over who will invest tens of millions needed to save his candidacy.
Texas requires approximately $15 million weekly in super PAC advertising for a credible campaign, making it an expensive investment compared to other battlegrounds.
National Republican groups are spending tens of millions in every other top-tier Senate race, including noncompetitive Kansas, the New York Times explained.
"The amount of Republican spending planned in Texas from now through Election Day, according to AdImpact, a media tracking firm: $0," noted The New York Times.
