This Saturday, Sept. 27, is National Public Lands Day, when thousands of volunteers roll up their sleeves to give a little love to national parks and forests nationwide. Be a part of this impactful day and help make a difference in our public landsHere in Summit, Friends of the Dillon Ranger District is coordinating trail work in Breckenridge, and they are calling an audible. Volunteers will be working on Mountain Pride trail, between Boreas Pass and Baldy, hauling timber and clearing deadfall from the trail. It’s a half day of trail work from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.FDRD’s original plan was to work on Bakers Tank Trail, another well-loved Breck classic. Entry is free that day to all National Parks.
