President Donald Trump shared plans on Wednesday for a massive, $22 billion construction and renovation project at Washington Dulles International Airport.
The architect Eero Saarinen completed the original terminal in 1962, the same year the airport, about 25 miles west of Washington, opened.
The airport could also get a new 32,000-space parking garage, which Trump said will be the largest in the world.
You get off a bus, you go into a train, you get from a train, you get onto another bus,” Trump said.
“Whether you’re a Republican or Democrat, you don’t want to go and be subjected to this airport because this airport, it’s a terrible place to be,” Trump said.
