Investing.com -- Netflix Inc. is paying $200 million for broadcast rights to the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in the United States and Canada, Bloomberg reported Wednesday. For the 2023 Women's World Cup, FIFA sold tournament rights separately for the first time as interest in women's sports grew. For comparison, Fox paid about $485 million for US broadcast rights to the 2026 Men's World Cup. In 2023, FIFA President Gianni Infantino asked broadcasters to pay a fair price for Women's World Cup media rights and criticized bids as being too low.
