A woman arrested while transporting a Semtex bomb has been released on bail a week after she was arrested near the border.
Isobella Perrie Sullivan, with an address in Clane, Co Kildare, was charged with possession of explosives at a special sitting of Trim District Court in Co Meath on Friday.
The 25-year-old, who is studying to train as a barrister in Dublin, had been held at the Dóchas Centre, which is located at Mountjoy Prison in Dublin.
Ms Perrie Sullivan was granted bail provided she obtained a €15,000 independent surety, surrender her passport, provide her phone number to gardaí, sign on daily at Naas Garda Station and observe a nighttime curfew.
The decision to grant Ms Perrie Sullivan bail has provoked an angry reaction from unionists.
