One of the police cars damaged during stand off in north Belfast early on Tuesday PICTURE: PSNIA man is due to appear in court charged with multiple counts of criminal damage and assault linked to a two hour early morning stand off with police in north Belfast. The 42-year-old is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with four counts of criminal damage, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of assault on police. The man then climbed on to a roof and began to throw tiles towards police, striking at least one officer.
