July 30 (Reuters) - Flight attendants at Canada's WestJet Airlines on ‌Thursday gave 72 hours' ‌notice that they would strike during ​the busy summer travel season, if a last-minute deal is not reached with the country's second-largest ‌carrier. Cabin crew ⁠at the Calgary-based carrier, owned by Onex Corp, ⁠can strike as early as August 2, at 12:01 ​am Mountain ​Time, if ​talks fail to ‌overcome a dispute over unpaid work and produce an agreement, the union said in a Facebook post. The union, which represents ‌WestJet flight attendants, is ​asking for crew ​to ​be paid from the ‌time they check in ​to ​when they clock out, which is not currently the case.
