The Twins placed the All-Star center fielder on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to a right hip impingement. Without Buxton, the Twins are down their biggest bat as they make an unexpected push toward a postseason spot. Gray is back from Triple-A, where he has been since July 20 as he went down when Buxton came back. Gray has a slash line of .232/.271/.333 with four homers and 29 homers in 63 games with the Twins.
