Srinagar, Jul 29: At least 42 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims who were injured in a road accident in the Kangan area of Ganderbal on July 28 are currently undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura under the supervision of senior doctors. Officials informed that at present, 42 injured pilgrims are undergoing treatment including 21 from Madhya Pradesh, 19 from Rajasthan, one from Assam and one from Uttar Pradesh. Director SKIMS & EOSG, Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie said he is personally monitoring the treatment and healthcare facilities being provided to the injured pilgrims. On Wednesday, the admitted pilgrims expressed gratitude to Director SKIMS for supervising the treatment arrangements and ensuring the best possible medical care. On Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo visited SKIMS Soura to enquire about the condition of injured Amarnath Yatra pilgrims.
