INDIANAPOLIS — Hard rock bands Warrant and Vixen will perform at the Hoosier Lottery Free stage on Aug. 12, stepping in for Bret Michael, the Indiana State Fair announced. Bret Michaels postponed his appearance due to urgent kidney stone surgery and complications from Type 1 diabetes. Warrant, an American rock band that rose to fame in 1989, is known for hits like “Cherry Pie,” “Heaven” — which reached #1 in Rolling Stone and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 — and “Down Boys.” Vixen is the only female rock band from the 1980s to sell over two million albums worldwide, with six #1 MTV videos and four songs charting on Billboard's Top 100. All concerts at the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage are free with paid fair admission, starting at 7:30 p.m. with first-come, first-served seating.
