Thornbury Art Club’s annual summer exhibition is showing at Thornbury Methodist Hall until Sunday, August 2, showcasing work by local artists in a range of styles and media. As part of this year’s programme, Councillor Chris Bloor is leading a themed Wayfinders walk, linking the exhibition with some of Thornbury’s most artistic corners. On Friday, July 31, at 10.30am, Cllr Bloor will lead walkers in an exploration of art in local churches and chapels, drawing attention to stained glass, sculpture and other features that residents may pass every day without fully noticing. The walks are designed to be gentle, sociable and accessible, offering a different way to experience Thornbury’s streets while supporting local artists and venues.
