Setting an example for public commuters, the CM personally purchased his travel ticket before boarding the train bound for the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) headquarters at Nandanam. On-site reviews and infrastructure expansionThe Metro ride forms part of a broader review initiative aimed at evaluating Chennai's public transport efficiency and monitoring ongoing transit infrastructure expansions. According to official sources, Chief Minister Vijay's review itinerary includes further field visits to critical transit nodes, including inspections along the Porur–Poonamallee corridor and a review of active Metro Rail construction projects at the Kathipara junction.
