Recursive announces $410 million AI research collaboration with Amazon Web Services

AguilarRecursive, an artificial intelligence company focused on building recursive self-improving superintelligence to automate knowledge discovery, announced on July 28 a multi-year, $410 million agreement with Amazon Web Services to run its automated AI research system using AWS as its cloud provider.
"Partnering with AWS gives us the infrastructure to run self-improving AI research at a scale very few teams in the world are capable of," said Richard Socher, CEO and co-founder of Recursive.
"We've already shown our automated AI research system can outperform years of human optimization.
Its founding team includes former leaders from OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Meta AI, Salesforce AI, and Uber AI.
As part of their collaboration agreement announced July 28 in San Francisco by both companies' executives, including Socher and Bennett on behalf of their respective organizations (Recursive; Amazon Web Services), they plan to co-develop infrastructure specifically designed for large-scale automated AI research.
