After severe back-to-back storms wrought citywide property damage in Edmonton, the City of Calgary is sending employees north to assist with cleanup efforts, Mayor Jeromy Farkas said Tuesday.
The Telus World of Science was temporarily closed due to flooding in Edmonton on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
The Saturday storm also brought an abrupt, premature end to a Post Malone concert at Commonwealth Stadium.
The deployment won't reduce Calgary's city services, and Edmonton will reimburse Calgary for all costs, Farkas added.
