Senior dies, woman, children injured in collision west of Edmonton

A 73-year-old woman from Edmonton is dead and two children and one adult were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Parkland County on Sunday afternoon.
Police say an SUV heading east on Highway 627 and another SUV heading south on Highway 779 collided at the intersection.
Advertisement AdvertisementAdvertisement AdvertisementThe eastbound SUV was driven by a 42-year-old woman, and had two children aged four and six as passengers, while the other vehicle was driven by a 73-year-old woman.
The 73-year-old woman in the SUV travelling southbound was air-lifted by STARS air ambulance to hospital and died on Tuesday.
