ALEXANDRIA — The field is set for this year’s Division I state junior American Legion baseball tournament.
Eight teams will converge to Knute Nelson Memorial Park beginning on Thursday, July 30, in the double-elimination tournament to crown a definitive state champion in the upper division of junior Legion baseball.
Here’s a look at the eight qualifiers for the state tournament reached this point.
The team has rallied from an 0-3 start back at the beginning of the season, having won 10 of their last 12 games entering state.
New UlmNew Ulm Post 132 opened the sub-state G tournament with a close 8-5 victory over hosts Marshall Black and narrowly advanced to the championship round over New Prague Post 45.
