Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer Seth Elliott, 25, was arrested Wednesday and charged with illegally accessing a government computer.
Elliot was arrested after an investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation found he allegedly ran an unauthorized non-law enforcement search on a North Carolina license plate.
He accessed the information using FLOCK cameras, automated license plate readers.
