As part of Love for the Locals, the electro-folk duo Moontricks performs at the Vilar July 30, with openers Danger Mountain. Their modern electronic sound, with its futuristic tone, blends organic folk, roots rock and traditional blues. The decision to create an electronic folk duo seemed intuitive, since they went to raves and other electronic music events growing up. Moontricks’ electro-folk sound honors the cycles of nature. “From what I’ve heard, they’re really fun,” said Danger Mountain’s dobro player, Arthur Wessel about Moontricks.
