Regionally, a recent Inntopia report indicated an overall lodging occupancy softening due to wildfires, so Eagle County is at least pacing ahead of other Colorado mountain resort areas.
This past spring the area appeared to be headed toward a major lodging and tourism rebound.
“That’s for all future months; not just for summer, but a six-month snapshot of how many people booked reservations for Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon — into the fall and winter,” Romer said.
Statewide, the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) announced this week that tourism contributed a record $29.2 billion to the Colorado economy in 2025, “despite ongoing headwinds.”
Nationally, tourism spending grew by more than 4% in 2025.
