It was October 2019 and Sweetwater Lake was once again on the verge of private development after being passed between investors and developers for decades. The Draft EIS lays out a proposed action and three alternatives for managing Sweetwater Lake going forward. This process is the most direct opportunity our community will have to shape how Sweetwater Lake is managed for decades to come. We encourage everyone who cares about Sweetwater Lake to read the Draft EIS, available at the USFS website , and weigh in with those details in mind. Sweetwater Lake is public land, forever.
