Terms for all mayors in Independence County, as well as the city clerk and city attorney in Batesville, will expire Dec. 31, 2026. Terms for all council members, except Southside council members, are 2-year terms. Position 1 members’ terms will expire Dec. 31, 2026, and Position 2 members’ terms expire Dec. 31, 2028.
